Dad, in that special way Dad has, managed to have a long extended convo with the realty guy while I silently screamed inside my own head. FINALLY we went to dinner in Edgartown.

We went into Portland to have lunch, happened upon a street sculpture, and watched a bunch of kids having a sailing lesson...

We did something we NEVER do: voluntarily got up at 4 am...

Here's a thing to know about this campground: there are no showers...

We got a slow start to the morning, on account of the late night at the Thirsty Whale...

I awoke at first light to the sound of our campsite trashcan clanking...

We enjoyed the antics of the resident chipmunks, whose hidey-hole was right next to our woodpile...

I woke in the night at least twice, hip sore against the cold, hard ground, and pumped up the mattress again.

After 4 shows in 4 days, this was our day off from performing.

Jack loves the mouth-trumpet!
