We were planning to head out of Richmond by 4 pm, at the latest, to be ready to play at Bangkok Noi in Gloucester at 6 pm.  But I-64 had other plans for us...

We got up early for a Saturday morning, since we were scheduled to play live on the radio at WTJU 91.1 FM, Charlottesville...

But then... we found a gravel road that turned into an overgrown grassy road that led us right to a tiny little sandy beach at the edge of Mobjack Bay...

On Wednesday, I got a call from Andrew at Bangkok Noi, wondering if we could play there Friday night.  Very short notice!

Did I mention this is a sleepy town?  There really is nothing much to do there other than enjoy the scenery...

There was no particular reason to go to Edenton, other than the fact that I had found a cool place to stay through airbnb...

We were done with our gigs for the weekend, so we were free to do whatever we wanted, with no time constraints.  We made the most of it today!

It was a dreary, rainy morning and early afternoon.  We both felt pretty lethargic and "lumpy".  At least we got out for a walk on the beach.  They sky was menacing storms, which did not bode well for our gig that night...

Originally it was supposed to be a night off, but Ocean Boulevard asked if we could play this night instead of the original Friday date...

It was nice to play close to home for a change...
