Headed to the Eastern Shore...

It was pouring down rain when we left Richmond mid-afternoon. It did not get any better as we progressed along the road.

We hit REALLY bad traffic. Eventually we came to a complete standstill where everyone and their mother was trying to get on the bridge from Hampton to Norfolk. At this point it was clear we would not be getting to our gig on time. Once we got on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, though, it was fairly smooth sailing.

I called the Lemon Tree Gallery from the road to let them know our status, and they were very understanding. We were supposed to start playing at 6 but we didn't arrive until about 6:30. Our friends Dot and Richard were there saving us a parking spot, and helped us load in. We started our performance at 7.

The gallery is a beautiful space to play in. I already expected beauty from the pictures on their website, but I didn't expect an actual stage, and chairs set up in true concert format. We had a fantastic, receptive audience. It was such a pleasure to play here and we can't wait to do it again.
